Hello all! It's been a while but I am back with a new post, I'm still getting back into the swing of things because it has been a stressful couple of months (check out my Instagram for more details). Anyway, I'm super excited about this post because it is my first Muji Haul!! So about a month ago, I went on a trip to NYC for my birthday and one of my main goals when I was there was to go to Muji. If you are not familiar with Muji, you can check out the website here. I'm from the Midwest area so there are no Muji stores, and since I am a self-proclaimed stationery addict I knew I had to check this place out. Since it was my first time there, I was super excited to stock up on some really awesome stationery. Now, I know that Muji doesn't have just stationery, but these were the things that I bought. I just want to say that overall I love Muji because it basically has everything. So now I'll get on with it. Here are the things I got from Muji! In this picture I got:
So that is it for this month's favorites, I tried to make it a short one (by not buying too much stuff lol). Let me know if you love Muji and their products as much as I do, and leave me a comment below! ~Stephanie

It's nearing the end of March which means that I have some more favorites to share with you this month! This month, I am going to show you something that is not only cute, but functional (mostly for school) and those are BINDERS and binder inserts! *This is NOT an ad. All opinions mentioned here are my own. This post is NOT sponsored.* 1. Colorful Binder
I got this binder from the dollar tree! I haven't used it very much, but I love the colors and the style. I believe it is a one inch binder, so it might not fit a lot of stuff in it. But it is a good fit for me. 3.-4. Mead Five Star notebook/binder dividers I saw these on clearance at Target ($0.98) for a pack of three. What a steal! They are durable, reusable, and you could use them for your notebook or binder! (I'm definitely going to buy more ;) 5.-6. Mini Pineapple Binder from Target I love this mini binder! It was also on clearance from Target ($1.78). I've always wanted to use one of these for taking notes, using it as a planner, or bullet journaling. I haven't used it yet, but I will keep you updated with how I use it. There it is! Another look at my favorite things that I loved this month! Would you buy any of these? Let me know in the comments below :) Here we are again, another edition of 'favorites of this month'! This post will be pretty short and sweet due to the fact that I didn't have too many favorites this month. Nevertheless, without further ado, here they are! *this is NOT an ad. All opinions mentioned here are my own. This post is NOT sponsored.* This notebook that I have is from the dollar spot at Target, It was $3, I haven't used it yet because I only got it a couple of days ago. But I really like the design of this notebook and it lays down flat which is a huge bonus!
The pens I have here are the ballpoint zebra pen, z-grip plus. I have these pens in six colors (red, blue, pink, purple, black, and green). I really enjoy these pens. Typically, I strictly use gel pens, but after using these pens for a while I am hooked! The colors are vibrant and the ink runs very smoothly from the pen. These pens were very inexpensive as well. I picked them up individually at Walgreens, and I believe they were $1 each. Have you seen or tried these products? Let me know in comments! ~Stephanie I have a confession to make…I have way too many notebooks (see picture above). I can't help myself!! (I mentioned that I had a slight stationery addiction right?) Any way, despite having so many notebooks, I have figured out different ways to use them. So in this post, I am going to show you the many different ways of using notebooks.
As you can see, you can use notebooks in so many ways! Do you have a slight notebook obsession like I do? Would you try these ideas for your notebooks? Comment below and let me know! ~Stephanie Hello again! If you haven't read my bio or seen my Instagram, I am a self-proclaimed stationery fanatic. So for this post I'm going to show you all of my favorite stationery items and other things that I have gotten this month! ***This post is not sponsored. All opinions are my own.*** *All of the products shown here are from Target but the pen is from Office Depot.* 1. 2018 Floral Planner This 2018 floral planner is from the dollar spot at Target (it was $3). It has a 12 month overview in the beginning and the rest of the pages are lined with a space to write the date at the top of each page. Pros
Cons
2. Washi Tape I would like to start off by saying that I love the washi tape from the dollar spot, and you can't really go wrong with it (it's only a dollar!). I love how they have such a wide variety. Pros
Cons
3, Yoobi Pencil Case The price for this pencil case is pretty good (it was about $3-$4). It can hold a lot of stuff in it. I currently have a 6 in. ruler, an eraser, a flash drive, 12 pens, 4 highlighters, 2 mechanical pencils, and a permanent marker. It opens like a tray, so it's easy to see everything you have. Pros
Cons
4. Uni-Ball Vision pen (Fine) in black I like this pen, the color is very vibrant. It is also waterproof and fade proof. The pen barrel is pretty durable and the cap seems secure, so I'm not worried about the pen cap coming off and exploding all over my backpack. Pros
Here you can see the products in more detail: Well there you have it! These are my favorite products of January 2018. Have you tried any of these? Do you want to try some of them? Let me know in the comments below!
Also check out my socials and connect with me via social media! I am going to assume that if you are reading this blog post, than you either have been or are in the same situation as me, or if not, you may be wondering why I am writing about this topic in the first place. I started My College Journal in early 2016 and since then I kind of had an on and off relationship with it. The reason I started it was because I love writing and doing creative things and I thought that this would be a great way to share my experiences of college life and the things that I have learned in college with other people.
Ever since I've had this blog I have had every intention of keeping up with it and updating it, but life kept getting in the way. If you are in college or were in college, you can relate to the stresses and challenges that it has on people. And I am, in fact, one of those people. And it didn't help that I didn't have healthy coping strategies to deal with it either. One of the reasons I started this blog was because I came across so many other blogs and YouTube channels that gave me inspiration to start one as well. I wanted to write about college life because it is something that has impacted me greatly. However, sometimes when it got really hard, I began to lose sight of what I loved and what I wanted to do (which is this blog by the way). I would get discouraged because my blog wasn't taking off the way that I wanted it to, so I continued to focus on school, and the more I did the more stressed out I was because I wasn't using my creative outlet (i.e. this blog). Then, when I would have a summer or winter break and I was able to relax a bit, I felt motivated to dedicate time to MCJ. But then I would have anxiety about writing posts, and getting into my head about why I started in the first place. It was a catch-22. I loved my blog and I wanted to do it, but I wouldn't make time for it. Although, when I did have time for it I didn't want to do it because I had so much anxiety about how it would look and how it would sound and how others would respond to it. Now, with it being 2018, I am in the same position again. I have had the time to work on writing and enhancing the blog, but I've been so stressed with other things going on in my life that I've hardly worked on it. Same as last year, I also set a goal, to work on the blog and to post regularly, and I am really hoping that I can do that. The reason that I haven't given up completely on this blog, and I continue to come back to it, is because I truly enjoy writing and making posts for this blog. It's a hobby where I can really express myself creatively with writing and designing the blog. My goal for this year is that I will try to do my best with everything that I do, and not to put too much pressure on myself when things don't work out. I will try to update MCJ regularly and try to get back into doing the hobby that I enjoy. If you would like to continue on this journey with me or would just like to observe what happens, then be sure to follow this blog for updates on my undergrad, post-grad, and maybe even graduate life! It's here! It is finally here, and it has been a long time coming. I am really working on this blog and trying to re-vamp it and make it the best that it can be. And this is something that I love doing. So without further delay, here are some of my July favorites! Drum roll please.... It is the Pentel Sign brush pens!! These brush pens are a great options if you are just starting out in trying to learn calligraphy. And they also have a wide range of colors that are so vibrant! However there are some pros and cons of this particular product. PROS:
Overall I am satisfied with buying these. They are easier to control when trying to do smaller hand lettering. I purchased mine at Wal-Mart, but you can buy them other places such as the Pentel website and Amazon. Have you tried the Pentel Sign Pens? Leave a comment below and let me know what you think!
~Steph While being in college, I really started to understand why people said this is the time when you find yourself and grow into the person that you will become. And I have found that to be true personally. Going into college was a whole new experience for me, mentally, emotionally, and academically. And at times I found that it was very hard to cope with everything that was going on, which is normal. When those times did come, I started to learn more things about myself, and it helped me get a better understanding of who I am as a person. This is not to say that I've had some revelation and that I finally know who I am, but its a process. It's a process that I will continue to work through within college and beyond. So this is just an introduction to a new section of My College Journal. Because as the name implies this is a journal about my college experience, and I think that it is only fitting that I share my own personal experience as well. I realize that this whole blog is my personal experience and my own tips, but I think it will be helpful to put in my accomplishments and struggles so you can see that I am still human. Lol :) As well as putting in my own personal experiences, I will also be putting in a few other things throughout my journey in college such as;
